(But a noble cause nonetheless)
Nagi woke up feeling groggy, his pillow feeling suspiciously much like a keyboard and the crick in his neck felt suspiciously like what one usually felt when falling asleep while sitting in a chair.
What had he been doing last night that'd caught his attention so much? Nagi took a moment to rewind. The last he'd looked on a clock, it was past five in the morning... He'd felt the need to rest his head, just for a moment. Before that... Before that he'd been hacking. Hacking into high security Kritiker files...
His eyes shot open and his head up as he stared at his screen. Thank god, he'd at least had the presence of mind to log himself out of the data-base. It really wouldn't do to get caught in there. He sighed and blearilly looked around the room. His desk was littered with empty coffee-cups and energy drink-cans. The chair Farf had been sitting in last night was vacated and- Nagi double-checked. A soft mewling could be heard from his left pant-leg.
He looked down and there was the cat, staring up at him with soulful eyes, as if certain that Nagi would know what to do for him.
Still feeling far from fantastic - a quick glance at the clock in the bottom of his screen told him he'd had about three hours of sleep - Nagi picked the little thing up and cradeled it in his arms the way Farf had shown him. Carefully carrying the small animal, he made his way to the kitchen and livingroom in search for Farf and something that would stop the kitten from mewling so pittyfully.

Date: 2008-12-11 05:44 pm (UTC)He'd left Nagi's room just shortly before Nagi had fallen asleep; had he known the boy would end up sleeping at his computer, he'd have moved him to his bed. He was half-finished his nth cup of coffee, picking it up and finishing it in one go, tensing suddenly as he heard footsteps.
The sound of their kitten mewling made him smile though as he looked at Nagi, sleepy, holding the tiny kitten in his arms, standing up after a moment. "Hey, Nags. Everythin' alright?"

Date: 2008-12-11 05:55 pm (UTC)He went back to the livingroom to grab his mug, then returned to the kitchen. He'd been making coffee all night, thinking it endlessly to the point where his hands were actually shaking slightly at this point. He poured himself a cup and grabbed a mug for Nagi, not even needing to ask the kid to know that he needed some as well.
He handed Nagi his cup and took a long sip from his own, easily able to ignore how hot it was.

Date: 2008-12-11 06:07 pm (UTC)Absentmindedly he took the mug from Farfello. He'd read somewhere online that drinking too much coffee was bad for the growth. He'd tried to cut back after that - for all of two days, after which his teammates had all but forced him to pick his habit back up. Nagi without coffee in the morning was not a pretty sight... And an even less pretty experience.
They sipped their coffee in silence for a while, both looking at the cat as it devoured its food.

Date: 2008-12-11 06:36 pm (UTC)Yes, he was tired, but he'd slept, right? And he still had a job to do. He'd expected that the assignment Schuldig had given him would be hard, but not exactly how hard. He knew now. All the files that were available on the project were under extremely heavy security. They were also quite widely spread, which came down to the fact that Nagi had to search a great range of files to find the ones he wanted. Getting access to those files wasn't easy to begin with.
Rubbing his eyes right than was probably a mistake, too. He was quite sure it wouldn't do anything to assure Farf that he did, in fact, did not need any sleep.
"I have things to do... What if Crawford and Schu wake up in the mean while? I need to report..."

That would only make things worse and he could be caught in the midst of his hacking; a point that he brought up to the youth as well.
"An', what happens if ye're too tired to realize that someone's caught on to ye? Or ye're too tired so ye're too slow to do anythin' about it? Sleep, kiddo." It was, essentially, an order. Well, as much of one as Farfarello could give.

Date: 2008-12-11 07:25 pm (UTC)He sighed. "Oh alright, but please wake me if anything happens." After yesterday, he wasn't about to assume nothing would. He couldn't quite believe the rollarcoaster was over just like that.
The kitten finished eating and purred, rubbing itself against Farf's legs.

Date: 2008-12-11 07:46 pm (UTC)He could continue playing solitaire until everyone was awake and ready to go for the day.. Though he could possibly check on Schuldig and Crawford and see if they'd be even out of bed today; he could see about getting them something to eat, even, and mentally started trying to figure out what he could make.

Date: 2008-12-11 08:06 pm (UTC)Once he crawled into his bed though, it seemed that not even the coffee could keep him from falling asleep immediately. His last thought went to the fact that Farf made way too weak coffee and he'd wake up Schu to make up next time.
That it didn't register how suicidal that thought was, only counted in favour of Farfs theory that he needed sleep bad.
