Farfarello wrapped his vest around the kitten in his arms to help keep the ratty little thing warm, put on his shoes, and walked out of the apartment. He got outside and paused, looking around for a brief moment before turning left and walking, starting to look around. He knew he'd seen a pet store around here somewhere... He could ask the people at the pet store to recommend a vet, a kind of food.. He could also get whatever he needed to bathe the little guy, too, while he was there.

He glanced at the sleeping bundle in his arms and nodded; Yes, he'd definitely get shampoos or whatever to clean the kitten.

He nodded to himself when he saw the pet store and walked inside, going in to talk to the people there. They had looked a little oddly at him at first, but when they had seen the kitten they warmed up to him quickly. They directed him to whatever he needed, and wrote down the name of a good vet nearby.

He paid for the cat food, cat dishes, litter and litter box, and everything else he'd bought. He'd had to tell them he'd come back for the heavier things, since he was walking, and they held it for him as he walked outside, holding a bag in his hand and the kitten in the other.

He was smiling a little to himself, looking fairly pleased with his purchases just then.

Ken left the house with a specific goal in mind: to get some fresh air and keep his pacing and worried tension from annoying everyone else. Unlike riding his bike, walking didn't require him to really pay attention to anything. He could simply let the ebb and flow of the crowd around him direct him from Point A to Point B.

Ok. So maybe he should have been paying a bit more attention to where he was going, because he almost walked right into a takoyaki stand without realizing it. He apologized, skirted around the front...

...and almost walked right into Farfarello.

He was holding a kitten. This was a fact that Ken's brain seemed to stumble over just as clumsily as his feet did into the stand, and he paused for a second or two, caught in the act of just gawking.

"You!" Ken blustered, pointing a finger of righteous indignation at the rather composed Irishman. "What, you weren't happy with kidnapping so now you're stealing cats too?!"

He sounded like an idiot, and part of him realized that, but he cou;dn't quite click into a full understanding of what he was seeing. The inidious rush of adrenaline that preceded the urge to fight or flight was making his pulse race beneath the skin.

"Alley. Now. We're going to finish this," he growled, rolling back his sleeves.

There were gears inside of Ken's head that were jamming, grinding his brain to a near halt.

This was it. At somepoint during his walk he finally let go of the last threads of his sanity and started hallucinating. He was not standing in the middle of the street facing an *affectionate* Farfarello playing with a tiny, fuzzy *kitten*. No. He refused to accept that as his current reality.

Before he gave in to the urge to snatch the kitten away, put it down so it could escpe (God only knew what sort of awful, terrible things would happen to the poor creature if left in the hands of the madman)he remembered that Schwartz still had the upper hand. Yohji was still in their clutches assuming they hadn't dropped his carcass over a bridge somewhere; if he did something to mess up now he'd never forgive himself.

"You." He croaked, pointing a shaky finger at Farf's face. "Just-if you don't bring him back in one piece...I'll..." Words failed him as he struggled against the impulse to just punch his enemy in the jaw and just be done with it.

Ken’s jaw was so tightly clenched that he thought he might break a tooth or two. He felt like his hands were still tied. While those freaks still had Yohji, any violent action he took could put the other man’s life in jeopardy.

A flicked to life over Ken’s head. If cat actually did belong to him, that meant it lived with him. Which meant Berserker was taking it home. If Ken could follow him there, he might be able to find out where they were keeping Yohji!

Ken lowered his hand. He steeled his gaze, cracked his neck, and purposefully walked around the other man and down the street a little, ducking into an alley at the first opportunity.
