Another OOC post

okay, it looks like everyone here's at least in the US, so that's good. and it also looks like no one's on pacific time. one person's mountain time, two (i think) are on central, and the rest of us are on EST, yes? and most of us are available in the latter hours of the evening, and it looks like there's overlap time between the time zones. so i guess the only real concern, then, is when there are a lot of people involved in a scene (like the grocery scene) and only a few people are available for it at a time. so i suppose we could either wing it like we've been doing, or figure out when our availability overlaps so we can make sure to all be on at the same time for those scenes. what do you think?

I think we should schedule once or twice a week when everyone will be on, to keep things moving, and then proceed as he have been inbetween.

As for your earlier question about where people want the rp to go...
I personally don't have an agenda. Yohji is being pretty reationary.

I do know that genuinelie has some sort of plotish intentions involving Kritiker, and was just waiting a little bit for the characters to get comfortable interacting with each other before throwing that into the mix. I have no clue what she's planning, but I think the plans were fairly flexible.

I'm pretty flexible, in terms of meeting and posts.

I do have a long term idea for plot that I've discussed with fellow Kritiker Fireun (I will say there is a new liason and a new person in charge, which Weiss should be aware of), but right now it seems as though things are interesting enough as it is.

Yay, subplots. And yay for an active Schwartz, doing what they do best.

i'm really, really ill...you think you mod-types can take over finding out when to schedule a couple of nights a week when we can all be on? myself, i've got no set schedule and i'm available just about all the time, but i sleep quite a lot. so all i need to know is the time i need to set my alarm for.

i am flexible to a point, as in unless something goes wrong at work, i am here pretty much every evening. having a set date or two would actually be helpful for me, as i need to juggle rp time with thesis time and scheduling myself out works best

Okay, well... since we're here and there's an OOC post already open, I had a question.

I've come to the realization that maybe having a phone conversation and an actual physical conversation at the same time in two different threads isn't the greatest way to go...

So, if we ever do get to figure out whether or not/when we're going to have some sort of meeting, o_O anyone got any ideas of how to get phone conversations to work smoother in the future?

Well it's starting to look like we're going to spend a lot of time saying "we should schedule a time to all be on" but never actually get around to the scheduling. So I'm just going to step up and throw out a suggestion.

It seems like 10:30 pm eastern is a pretty consistantly avilable time for most people, How about Thursday night at 10:30?

If thats a bad suggestion, then by all means, someone else just make another one.

For the record, genuinelie and I are going to NYC this weekend, so if Thursday is bad, the soonest we'll be avilable again is monday.

Sorry, I didnt' see this; but I can't make it anyways.

We could make arrangements in smaller groups, instead of with "everyone." It's not like Weiss usually converses with Schwartz anyways, so I mean, if there's a small group currently in the RP that's together, they could schedule a separate time to talk over stuff. Or if someone has an idea that involves two or three other people.

Bleh. Iono... I'm really brain dead right now. I've been really stressed lately, can't think properly.

Well, at the time I posted that, Weiss and Shwartz were still interacting, so we did need everyone, except for Crawford and Nagi. Since that boat has now been missed, yeah, we can schedule a just Weiss group.

While you do manage to be online more than a lot of the members, it seems that you have the most restricted time-frame to work with, since you have to worry about your parents (I actually do too, despite the fact that I'm post-college, they'll yell at me if I stay on excessively late,) so perhaps you should spearhead the effort to schedule a weiss meeting? I think you and Ken should talk and work out a few times that work for both of you, and then the rest of us can agree to one of those times.

As said previously, GL and I will be gone for the entire weekend, so if I don't talk to you by the end of the day (friday) I'll be around again on Monday.

Also for scheduling purposes, there is an anime covention next weekend that GL, Ken, and I are all going to, so that Friday and Saturday are no good as well.

So, the weekend after that looks good. *Stares at calendar* I'll just be extra sweet to the parental units until then.

But then again, nothing truly important is really happening right now in the RP.

yeah, what's up with that? anyway, the next time there's a post suggesting a time for all of us to get together, it should probably be a new thread so we can all see it. well, i'm assuming other people friended the community as well as joining it, so a new thread would show up on the friends page. isn't there an option to be notified when a community makes a new post? heh...a couple of years and i'm still not really lj savvy.

I thought about it, but I didn't want to crowd up the journal with more OOC posts than OC ones, I find it really distracting. This was still the top post when I commented in it. Next time I'll make a new one regardless of how obvious I think it would be for me to post in an existing thread, I guess.

Yohji is seriously going stir crazy, it still seems too soon for him to re-join the group, I had really hoped to jump-start some rping again, but...

As I said before, Susan and I will be out of town this weekend, so we won't be able to rp again until monday. Maybe you can get the others to actually commit to a time while we're gone? as long as its in the after work hours GL and I will probably be able to accomadate whatever time people decide on.
